2013. Markers and rapidograph on paper, 15 x 10 cm

An architectural project in the informal settlements in Brazil, sent us in 2013 in Cabucu de Baixo, one of the biggest communities (favelas) of Sao Paolo. Trying to understand and include elements of popular culture and activities in our design, we also decided to use a different visual language to describe the project. A narration of simple black and white stylized sketches, was the result, not only showing the scale and the morphology of space, but also all these little things of everyday life that describe everyday life in Brazil, like sitting in the balcony, riding moto-taxis, spontaneous dance performances in the street and, why not, open sewage, Baile Funk and straw dogs.
