The sculpture is made with handprinted monotype paper (many layers)  and it's set on a very white surface with some black pigment right underneath . If the ball moves black pigment will leave a trace all along the path. A reflection on historical issues never truly resolved.. The ball can roll again. In soccer jargon it could be titled box-to-box . The word matter has a double meanin: matter as in material and texture.

An intrinsic narrative of these days' events and riots in America within a ball of black history on a white background made of white linens ( that could also be a reference to the Klu Klux Clan).
