I am an artist and also a psychoanalyst, and my artworks are inspired by the mental maps that I draw during therapy sessions. This painting, GNOTHI SEAUTON, represents an entire inner journey of self-discovery, a dense network of personal concepts and experiences that intertwine as neural connections to shape our psychic complexity. But they are experiences and concepts that coagulate around a central core, our true Self, represented here by the shining form, the deepest essence of our being: there also thoughts and words vanish, leaving only light and energy.
