I was influenced by the bright colours and repetitive motifs of the 1960s. However, I wanted to express how society has changed over the last 60 years and how this has altered popular culture. Having been born in an era far removed from the 60s I found that despite much research I couldn't fully recreate the art style of the 1960s. Instead my work had the combination of both the 60s and modern day styles. Size: height about 2000mm, length about 1700mm. Material: fabric, thread, padding and silkscreen ink.
