I make ink drawings of DJ's in Europe and the US, all my works are made live on-stage at the heat of the moment, at music festivals. My work is mostly centered around the classic american house music figures, they form the origin of a scene that later evolved to a worldwide audience.

The portrait I chose is a portrait of DJ Felix da Housecat, one of those figures at the base of the scene. Starting as a scene within the black and gay community of Chicago and America; as a escape to the ever lasting oppression of black and gay people. (Ware) Housemusic was meanth as a movement and a place of freedom and equality, were everybody is welcome.

Although more then 30 years on, opression is never ending. Though my work I like to adress the issue that is ever important: freedom.
