"Mother Earth" from the series "Decomposition", 2017. Within the natural world there is a constant juxtaposition of growth and decay. As man attempts to rein in the wild landscape with human intervention, he is often at a loss for controlling the elements at work within his own body. By superimposing the abandoned zoo in Los Angeles with the scientific study of the human anatomy from the Bodiesexhibition, I have endeavored to portray these magnetic forces, both seen and unseen. Deconstructing the commonalities nature and humans share until the only thing that remains is their decomposition.
